Following the disaster of O-Bikes being trialled in Melbourne, hundreds of e-scooters are now trying their luck on the city's streets, amid a year-long shared transport trial.

The introduction of the shared scooters has sparked concerns for rider and pedestrian safety, while highlighting a legislative divide between how privately and publicly-owned scooters are regulated.
