Brunswick St, Fitzroy

If you’re looking for a place full of vibrant colours to liven up your feed, look no further than Brunswick St, just north of the CBD.

With a delicious range of eateries, live music venues and visually appealing street art there’s no shortage of interesting things to explore with your significant other.

I definitely suggest hitting up places like Vegie Bar, Girls & Boys Fitzroy for an adventure, or anywhere along the shopping strip!

Mt Cooper Lookout, Bundoora

This hidden gem, about 50 minutes' drive from the CBD, is the perfect date location for a low-key picnic with your partner.

Mt Cooper lookout is an awesome vantage point for watching the sunset.

All you need to do is pack some snacks, a portable speaker and a comfortable blanket, then kick back with your significant other and enjoy yourselves.

Pro tip: The earlier you come before sunset, the easier it will be to get a prime spot at the top of the hill before any other groups arrive so you can get the best view of the city skyline when it lights up.

Aireys Inlet, south coast

This beach, about one hour and 45 minutes drive from the CBD, is a beautiful and romantic location that is not to be missed.

Though it’s a bit of a trek, you can always enjoy a fun road trip with your partner, and the beautiful sights of this beach are more than worth it.

You can enjoy a short hike, enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets at this serene spot.

If you want a bit of extra privacy, visit this stunning location after peak season, when the Summer school holidays are over.

It is rarely busy then, and is a gorgeous place to capture precious memories to document on social media.

St Kilda nightlife

St Kilda, a short trip out of the CBD, makes for the perfect intersection between beach and city life, with many landmarks to feature in your Instagram feed.

You and your partner can time your visit to catch the sunset by the beach, hit Luna Park after dark, and continue on to nearby bars.

A great spot is Lona, which has beautiful light fixtures that provide a great backdrop for a cute profile picture.

They also have stunning cocktails that are not only instagrammable, but will keep the fun going all night long.

Southbank & Melbourne’s CBD

When all else fails, consider hitting up the heart of our beautiful city, where you can rediscover everything with your significant other.

Federation Square is an obvious go-to for events year around.

New food markets are always popping up near Federation Square where you can enjoy new cuisines with your date.

These markets take pride in the food they create and their aesthetics, and their food will look stunning on your feed. Even the snobbiest of connoisseurs are sure to approve!

The Eureka Skydeck is the best place to go for pictures of the cityscape, or those not fond of heights can take it easy by strolling around Southbank with your partner in tow.

All these places make for an exciting date, but what really brings the fun is the person you spend your time with.

Get those snaps, then put down your phone and enjoy each other’s company.
