It has been a month since the Indian Prime Minister stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its semi-autonomous status.

Indian military has moved into the region and communication lines have been cut, preventing those outside Jammu and Kashmir from checking on their loved ones.

We speak to those who’ve been unable to contact their relatives amid suspicion human rights violations are being carried out under a cloud of secrecy.
