A new anti-landmine drone has been backed for more than $200,000 on the crowd-funding website Kickstarter. The Mine Kafon Drone has been eagerly anticipated for its potential to save time, money and most importantly lives – especially in an industry in dire need of innovation. However, not everyone is so optimistic; some experts suggest the project is a waste of time and money.

MATILDA BOSELEY reports on this attempt to deal with a lethal problem that kills 10 people every day.
