How to dress for spring’s fluctuating weather

By CHLOE STRAHAN

Week 11 is a bitter-sweet time of year, where classes are almost over but exams are looming. We are also deep into the transitional spring weather, where the winter chill is lingering, despite the sun trying to shine.

It can be hard to find the energy to put together a stylish ensemble when you would rather go to class in your PJs.

This week, Mojo uncovered streetegists sporting cool and comfortable outfits, fit for this fluctuating weather.

The sneaker was the student favourite this week. Whether your style is championing Melbourne monochrome or popping with colour, this shoe adds effortless chic to any outfit.

Tony paired his white Nike sneakers with a coordinated Adidas tracksuit, topping off the look with glasses and a Standing Room coffee.

A pair of Nike Air Force 1s will set you back $150, but if you’re up for a splurge, you can find them in Nike stores or online here.

Fiona added instant edge to a standard jeans-and-top combo with her navy blue bomber jacket.

Plane Clothes on Chapel St in Windsor is your one-stop shop for bomber jackets.

This cropped silken bomber in burgundy is made of a lightweight satin fabric. If you like the look, you can find the item here.

Building your spring wardrobe does not have to break the bank. You can be thrifty like Elsie and find some rad items at op-shops, like her near-new Vans sneakers.

Kathy found this no-name jumper cheap on eBay that perfectly compliments the donut fad that’s sweeping Melbourne.

Zaeem was sporting classic Ray-Ban sunglasses, another favourite for students around campus.

Holly thought outside the box by adding a pop of colour to her neutral palette with her handmade gloves.

Gloves are an underrated accessory for those freezing mornings, and they are easy to fit in your bag when the sun emerges later in the day.
