The problem with hard science news

Issues in science are often misrepresented by the mainstream media, to the despair of scientists and educators. NICHOLAS KAMENIAR-SANDERY spoke to two people who have been at the forefront of educating the public to think scientifically and combat propaganda for anti-science views, which includes climate change and vaccination. Professor Peter Doherty is an Australia Nobel Prize-winning scientist who has written a series of books on how to think scientifically, including The Knowledge Wars. James Hoggan is the founder of DeSmogBlog, a website dedicated to combating anti-science propaganda on the issue of climate change.
