Professor Wood is co-inventor of the revolutionary ‘Spray-on Skin’ treatment for burns and coordinated the surgical team caring for 28 patients in the aftermath of the 2002 Bali bombings. She shares her insights into the future of treating burns, the personal characteristics of surgeons and her outlook on teamwork in stressful, traumatic environments.
