Federal Government declines briefing, despite increasing Hong Kong / China political unrest

The Federal Government has today rejected calls for a blanket briefing on China for all federal politicians, despite political unrest from the region increasingly playing out through acts of violence on Australian shores.

Just days ago a peaceful protest at Melbourne's State Library turned ugly as Pro-Hong Kong and Pro-China demonstrators turned on each other, leading to Victoria Police to warn violence will not be tolerated.
