Farmers from the state's food bowl say a safety measure being rolled out by VicRoads is making country arterials more dangerous.

Farmers say the installation of wire rope barriers, designed to prevent head-on collisions, means slow moving tractors prevent other vehicles from overtaking, leading to dangerous driving and road rage.
