In 2016, an electrical fault burnt down Little Saigon Market in Footscray, with plans now in place to rebuild the site into a multi-storey apartment complex. Acknowledgement explores how gentrification threatens a diverse suburb, and questions what deems a site to be listed as heritage in an increasingly multicultural Australia.

This short creative documentary was made by students in Film and Screen Studies units in the School of Media, Film and Journalism at Monash University.

Director: COLIN CARSON
Producer: KONSTANTINOS AXIOTIS
