The Sporting Post hears from a man who has been a stand out member of the Geelong crowd for decades – Catman.
He has been a curious fixture at AFL’s Geelong games since before any of us can remember.
Resplendent in blue and white makeup, clothes and wigs, Geelong’s Catman puts it perfectly himself: “normal is boring and different is beautiful”.
While Troy ‘Catman’ West may be one of our most peculiar guests this season, the son of a former Geelong player is owning his differences to put a smile on other’s faces.
West talks to hosts Seb and Mitch about why he spends hours every game day dressing up, how he came to own the name ‘Catman’, and how he deals with the social media trolls who think he is too much to handle.
