Three years later, the protest continues over a McDonald's in Tecoma, but local shopkeepers are just relieved there are only a handful of activists left.
Three years after protesters first launched a campaign against the construction of a new McDonalds restaurant in Tecoma, in Melbourne's outer east, a handful of activists continue to hold regular demonstrations. Local traders in Tecoma say the anti-McDonald's protesters initially drove people away, but now the town is recovering. The protesters say they won’t be silenced.
