A Victorian man is working to increase honey bee populations along the Surf Coast, while raising awareness of the insect’s global significance.
The humble honey bee not only provides us with delicious honey, but the small insect plays a vast role in the pollination of fruit, vegetable and seed crops making it a vital link in the food chain.
In order to help bees continue with their vital work, a Victorian man has launched a beekeeping project to increase the number of bees on the Surf Coast while raising awareness of their importance.
