WHAT’S COOKIN' DADDY-O?

Skeep-beep de bop-bop beep bop bo-dope. Is anyone else vibing the super cool jazzy avant-garde style of this streetegist? We LOVE when someone is so original and out there that we have to unpack our cameras and take a snap – very much the case here. We love how the mish-mash of colours and patterns, the vintage influences and the worn saxophone come together to create a showstopper of an outfit.

HE WAS A SK8ER BOI

Move over Avril Lavigne, there’s a new sk8er boi in town. Beanie, lace-up boots and black jeans – we love the grungy skater feel of this look. Skater style tends to be comfortable flat-soled and casual, which are all included here. Oversized T-shirts and layering are a must. Skater is one of the looks that is at the crux of street wear, and we are so glad to see this streetegist is bringing street wear back to its roots.

COTTONY CANDY COLOURS

Pastels were huge this year and we love this streetegist’s understated dreamy pastel palette. We think there is something so soft and comforting about these natural floral based colours and believe it’s the perfect option for streetegists who aren’t fans of bolder floral patterns. There is something very quiet, gentle and serene about this outfit, which we absolutely adore. Looking at the sweet and calm hues of this ensemble feels like we are escaping from the everyday hustle and bustle. Who knew an outfit could make you feel so peaceful?

MRS WEASLEY’S KNITTED JUMPERS

Weasley jumpers for everyone! Just like the sweaters Mrs Weasley made for Harry and her children in the first novel, this simple, slightly oversized jumper is knit in a tweedy yarn with an initial on the front. We think the soft and rather divine tweedy cashmere blend of most of these jumpers is a nice balance to their intentional homeliness. It may have the look of Weasley clothes, but this jumper is nonetheless magical. Pair with plain skinny jeans and suede Oxford shoes and, hey presto, you have become a street style master.

FRESH AS A SUMMER BREEZE

This outfit is the essence of comfortable style. The loose and billowing linen shirt-dress is one of our favourite pieces this semester. The black slip underneath adds a level of security all us gals need on a windy day, while adding texture, colour and layers. We love the slip-on leather sneaker, which gives off a relaxed weekend vibe. We were really impressed with the originality of this look, definitely one of the freshest streetegists we’ve seen out and about.
