Rapper Cardi B's second clothing collection with affordable brand Fashion Nova will be available to local fans from 1pm local time tomorrow.
The 25-year-old music celebrity last week swept up six wins at the 2019 Billboard awards, including top selling song and rap female artist.
Cardi B’s previous collaboration with Fashion Nova was hugely successful and sold out in minutes when the collection dropped late last year.
The rapper’s Instagram announcement on April 26 about the impending fashion release received almost 10 million views.
Similar to last year’s clothing line, Cardi hinted the collection wouldl feature sexy, affordable styles suitable for both casual and occasion wear, with “a lot of bright colours [and] clean cut-outs”.
In an interview with ET, Cardi said this line will be “more fun” than her last.
“It’s more summertime, but it also has that Matrix look that I like,” she said.
The ET sneak peek into the May clothing line detailed Cardi’s vision for the promotional photoshoot, described as “high fashion” meets “neon jungle” with “vintage, desert vibes”.
“It’s sexy, so classy and clean, I love it,” Cardi said.
Cardi B has also said that the collection will be size inclusive, ranging from size zero to XXXL.
“Skinny, big, you gon’ look good in all this sh*t,” the rapper said in her announcement.
The Fashion Nova team say they have shaped the brand to the physique of the customer and are dedicated to creating stylish clothes that actually fit.
Cardi B also extended an invitation to 10 fans to go to Los Angeles for the launch party celebrating the clothing line.
Cardi B fan and self-declared online shopping addict Jessica Ventrice, 23, said she would not be surprised if the collection’s sales were affected by Cardi B’s infamous ongoing feud with rival rap superstar Nicki Minaj.
“I feel like the Nicki Minaj drama left a crappy impression of both artists to be honest,” Ms Ventrice said.
However, Ms Ventrice said the drama between the two rappers could have been “a great publicity stunt” in favour of both rappers’ images.
“At the end of the day, if [Cardi] drops good stuff, it will sell well,” Ms Ventrice said.
Cardi said she had planned a great launch party with some big guests.
“The party’s gonna be even bigger, I got Blue face, I got YG, I got City Girls,” Cardi said.
