Sports Chat - Episode 1, Delirious West Marathon

This is the first episode of MOJO News’ interview segment, Sports Chat. In this episode, we talked to Monash graduate, Sukant Singh Suki, who has completed one of the World’s hardest ultra-marathon, the Delirious West.

One of the top 10 hardest 322 kilometre races in the world, and one of the must-do ultra marathons in the Southern Hemisphere, Delirious West has become a familiar emblem in the trail running community.

The marathon is said to be full of several ups and downs, breath-taking scenery that varies every few kilometres, seldom-used trails, and unpredictable weather.

The Delirious West ultra marathon is between Northcliffe and Albany. There are hundreds of kilometres of breath-taking cliffs, unrelenting dunes, towering forests, treetop walks, shuttle bus rushes, jet ski rides, immaculate beaches, and the world famous Bibbulmun Track.

Sukant Singh Suki, 33, finished the race in 102 hours and 27 minutes, securing the 50th position out of 75 competitors.
