The International Flower and Garden show is back in Melbourne and this year's beautiful exhibition is themed Immerse Your Senses.
First-time flower show attendee Jessica Martin said she learnt just “how powerful plants are” through the exhibition, which is being held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton.
“How peaceful gardens can make you feel…some you feel very inspired by, and some make you feel very relaxed,” Ms Martin said.
More than 200 exhibitors have contributed to the hundreds of indoor and outdoor garden displays.
Guest speaker Dr Isabelle de Solier discussed the psychological impact certain flowers had on people.
She said people associated red roses with Valentine’s Day and feelings of love, while white flowers often represented purity.
Mannequins frocked up in flowers and plants have taken wearing floral to a new level at this year's show.
The creative designs were the work of third-year RMIT students who explored contemporary fashion.
The International Flower and Garden Show closes tomorrow.
